Question

Can physics be incorporated into the study of DNA?

Answer

For sure. This is way beyond my domain - I'm certainly no physicist. But the molecular forces that play a role in DNA's structure and function is a topic of research for many. Check out this physics stuff on DNA for example: Direct measurement of the intermolecular forces between counterion-condensed DNA double helices - Biophysical Journal
