Is there any important evidence suggesting that sexual orientation may be linked to genetics?
Behavioural traits are very complex and involve a number of genes. The environment also plays a significant factor in how these traits are manifested. So I definitely think there is a genetic component (because it runs in families) but there is definitely societal pressure (environmental factor) on how this will be manifested. Will this ever be one gene? I highly doubt it.

When a fetus is inside the mother's womb, Which gene determine the gender?
It is the X and Y chromosomes that determine gender. If the child is XX it is female, and XY is male.
