Let’s Talk Cancer at the University of Toronto is a FREE and accessible one-day event for all interested high school students. It is hosted by Let’s Talk Science at the University of Toronto and the Canadian Cancer Society’s Research Information Outreach Team (RIOT).

Hosted by Let’s Talk Science and the Canadian Cancer Society – Research Information Outreach Team (RIOT), Let’s Talk Cancer was established to facilitate knowledge transfer between academia and high school students regarding the field of cancer biology. We hope to improve attending student’s basic knowledge of cancer and the challenges of cancer research through interactive hands-on activities and seminars from world-renowned scientists.

Let’s Talk Cancer is a series of full-day symposia for secondary students that explores the use of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) as an integral part of cancer research. The day includes seminars from research professionals along with a variety of activities designed to involve students with a hands-on understanding of how STEM contributes to advancements in cancer research.
