What time of year is Hydra most visible?

In the Northern Hemisphere, Hydra (the water snake) is most visible in the spring. It is the largest constellation and stretches across a good portion of the night sky. Its head (located just below the constellation Cancer) becomes visible in the winter, and the end of its tail (below the constellation Virgo) can still be seen into the summer.
