I am working as a consulting producer for NHK, Japan’s public broadcaster. It’s a three year placement program offered by CBC News. I write news stories for television and I also give recommendations on how to cover news stories. While in Tokyo, I also cover news stories for the CBC back in Canada such as this update on the situation in Fukushima, 5 years after the tsunami. So if you hear news from Japan on TV or radio, it could be my work.

My job is to care for the physical stability of artifacts (artifacts are what we call objects that are officially in the Museum’s collection). This involves examining artifacts, looking for any signs of deterioration and taking steps to intervene so that they are able to last for future generations.
