As a professor, I teach and lead students in research projects. I am also the Curator in Charge of the collection of Invertebrate Zoology in the Museum of Comparative Zoology. I have two additional titles: Alexander Agassiz Chair and Harvard College Professor. These titles acknowledge the research and teaching I do, and they also provide additional funding for me and my students.

In clinic, I use my understanding of functional human anatomy and body mechanics to help diagnose and treat issues with muscle, joints and nerves. A key role is patient education and helping patients take an active role in their own recovery. On a daily basis, I work very closely with other health care providers. As a health care consultant, I work with case managers and medical and health consultants to help injured workers recover from injury.

My job varies from day to day. I coordinate the programs and develop the curriculum that is offered to the students enrolled at the Centre. I instruct some of the courses. I’m the lead point person between the Ministry of Education and the College. I help with recruitment of new students and aid in the hiring process of apprentices who enter the workforce.
